THE jig could be up for serial killer Meena Jutla, who has been causing a stir in the Dales.

Distracted by Manpreet and Vinny, the nurse will fail to realise that the discovery of a mystery box could be the single piece of evidence needed to expose her.

And Sam Dingle (James Hooton) could be the one to let the cat out of the bag.

Last week, deciding that it would be too dangerous for her to keep it, Meena (Paige Sandhu) decided to bury a trinket box in which she keeps trophies of her murder victims.

She seemingly forgot that nothing stays buried too long in the Dales.

In a new Emmerdale episode, set to air on ITV next week, however, Leyla and Jacob survey the allotment… where Meena buried her box.

Unbeknownst to them, Meena’s trinket box pokes up from the earth and is just about visible.

Later on, when Sam is working on the allotment, he inadvertently shovels dirt across the box, hinting that the item could potentially be discovered sooner rather than later.

Emmerdale fans are eager to see Meena get her comeuppance.

The serial killed has killed four characters, including her former best friend Nadine Butler prior to her arrival in the long-running soap.

She hasn’t shied away from lying or even sexually assaulting Liam Cavanagh in a bid to get pregnant after being dumped by Billy Fletcher.

But as her sister Manpreet and Vinny were closing in on her, she decided to go a step further by holding them hostage.

On Monday’s instalment (January 10), Vinny made a huge mistake which left fans highly frustrated.

Thankfully for the pair, Mandy is growing increasingly suspicious after receiving a fake text from Meena.

Could the discovery of the box turn the tables for Manpreet, Vinny and other village residents?

Will Manpreet and Vinny be saved or escape their captivity alive?

Will Meena finally be exposed for her crimes?

Emmerdale will bring the answers, airing weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode broadcasted at 8pm on Thursdays.
