LIVERPOOL want to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala on a free transfer in January if he does not agree a new deal with the Italian giants, according to reports.

The 28-year-old Argentine will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club next month as his Juventus deal expires in the summer.

And, according to Calcio Mercato, Liverpool are keen to tie him down before the end of the season if he becomes available.

However, journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Dybala has already agreed to extend his contract with the Serie A side until 2026.

When asked previously about his contract situation, Dybala told DAZN: “Right now the club has other things to resolve so for now we can wait on this.

“What’s happening now is more important than my contract.”

Dybala joined Juventus from Parma in 2015 for a fee of £36million.

And he has gone on to score 108 goals and provide 46 assists in 269 appearances for the Old Lady.

That six-year spell has seen him win 12 major trophies with Juve including five Serie A titles and four Coppa Italia trophies.

He also helped them reach the Champions League final in 2017 where they were beaten 4-1 by Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Dybala’s teammate Aaron Ramsey is being linked with a move away from Juventus in the January window.

The former Arsenal star is not in manager Max Allegri’s plans and the club are reportedly willing to sell him for a ‘minimal fee’.

Newcastle are said to have been interested since their £305million Saudi-backed takeover went through.

Ramsey is said to earn £400,000-a-week in Turin.

And although he will have to take a significant pay cut to return to the Premier League, he will still command a large salary which the Toon will be able to afford.
