Lampard was expected to be announced as the Norwich boss before the weekend but the Canaries’ hunt continues after he pulled out of negotiations.

Dean Smith was second favourite at 17/10 but his odds have been slashed to 3/10.

Norwegian Kjetil Knutsenwho is in charge of Bodø/Glimtis has switched from third to second favourite.

Lampard has drifted to 11/2 and is now third favourite, which would see a sensational U-turn from the Chelsea legend.

Norwich have struggled to adapt to Premier League life, losing eight of their 11 top-flight matches since winning the Championship last term.

They are rock-bottom of the Prem, despite snatching their first win of 2021-22 at Brentford on Saturday, just moments before Farke was given the boot.

The Canaries have scored the least Premier League goals (five) and have conceded the most (26) since promotion.

Norwich next manager odds

  • Dean Smith 3/10
  • Kjetil Knutsen10/3
  • Frank Lampard 11/2
  • Luis Boa Morte 20/1
  • Russell Martin 22/1
  • Roy Hodgson 22/1

Norwich lost their main attacking threat in Emiliano Buendia to Aston Villa ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

But they still spent £60million on new additions including Milot Rashica, Christos Tzolis and Josh Sargent.

In fact, Norwich were the 11th highest spenders in Europe during the summer transfer window.

But their summer plan hasn’t come to fruition as they are rock bottom and in search of a new manager.
