Fingerprint registration didn’t seem to work, but figured it outI was about to return this safe when I finally figured out why things weren’t working. Make sure you have 4 strongly charged batteries, or it will seem like it is broken by beeping but never opening. So far seems just as advertised once I figured that out

Great WHEN it works!We’ve been using this safe for about 8 months and have many issues when the fingerprint scanner just doesn’t work. Sometimes you get in first time, other times you have 3 goes that fail then you either use the key (very difficult to use) or wait five minutes to try again. Sometimes it works great all week then it fails again. Very inconsistent. I don’t understand why the key is so hard to use! I was excited to find a safe we could fit 4 cash drawers in but so disappointed in this one.

Fingerprint Reader Didn’t WorkIt’s a shame that the fingerprint reader was flawed in this product. I wasted a lot of time trying all sorts of things to get it to work but without success. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing this product, quality control is an issue.

Not recommendFingerprint reader would allow ANY finger print, from any individual, to unlock the safe and would not read prints that actually needed to be stored… multiple resets were attempted. Set the safe back.

Barska Biometric Safes are greatI wrote a review because I saw the last person’s review and I have been using Barska biometric safes for years without issue. The previous reviewer states that it will let any fingerprint open the safe. The documentation clearly states that this is the case when NO fingerprints are saved. The process of recording fingerprints is easy, but you need to do it as instructed. My wife and I have several fingerprints stored and it works great. I always test with my adult children and they are not able to open it with any fingerprint. These safes are great and the biometrics are very reliable.
