There is no such thing as “mass production” at Nightforce. Only a skilled human eye and experienced hands are sensitive enough to perform many of the critical operations involved in assembling a precision optical instrument. During our impact tests, riflescopes must endure repeated impacts of over 1200 Gs of force on multiple axes. NIGHTFORCE TUBESNightforce tubes are machined from solid bar stock 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, not extruded or formed like those found on lesser scopes. They are two to three times thicker than other scopes. This means less overall stress, greater thermal stability, a consistent zero and a virtually impervious shield for the precision optics within. |
NIGHTFORCE SPRINGThe spring that maintains pressure on our elevation and windage adjustments spends two weeks in a polishing tumbler before going into a Nightforce scope, to assure there are no rough spots or burrs to interfere with perfectly smooth operation. Amazing optics and quality. Love the illuminated reticle anx zero stop.At 1,200 yards, I can see the splatter of the bullet impact on the steel target on a clear day. I also like the illuminated reticle for low light. Scope is very sturdy. I have three of them. The only thing I have found better than the NXS is the Nightforce ATACR which has a 34mm tube and comes in F1 versions. The NXS I mounted on my long range rifles. The ATACR 5-25×56 F1 I mounted on a P6.5 AR style 6.5 creedmoor rifle for for medium to long range and rapid target aquisition. Both NXS and ATACR are amazing scopes but the ATACR is best for rapid target aquisition, but costs another $850 roughly

Better get one when you can…I bought one of these for my Model 700 .300 WinMag. Glass is like looking through gin is crystal clear. Walked through the scope adjustments on target. PERFECT! You couldn’t find a finer scope on the market. I’m buying a second for my Wilson Combat Super Sniper .308. VERY happy. What do I mean by the headline. The last one I ordered through a gun store too 11 months to come in.
