Attractive, but inflexible nosepiece didn’t work for meThese are quite attractive, but the nosepiece is surprisingly inflexible and would not adapt to my slightly asymmetrical nose, meaning they often sat unevenly on my face. With such a rectangular frame, this didn’t work. The Prizm lens does indeed highlight contrast well; it’s the best lens I’ve seen. But this Prizm Road Black is probably too dark for most uses in the Northwest. The Prizm Road would probably suit my needs better.I ended up going instead with the Rapha Pro Team glasses, which also has an excellent lens. They look sharp – definitely better proportioned than the Sutro – fit my face better, and have a flexible nosepiece. I’ve returned this pair of the Sutro Lites.

Bought for golf, but…They were a little dark (actually meant for skiing), so I bought the rose sweep replacement lens. Super easy to swap out, will probably get a yellow or something for low light. Awesome glasses, highly recommend. Space lens fits in the case, so will have various options depending on conditions.

Great eye shieldingThe “Lite” version of the Oakley Sutro provides great eye protection while cycling, and an excellent field of view. I have a large square face and they fit well. Lenses are a little tricky to change at first, but once you get the hang of it, not too bad. The plastic frame has just the right amount of stiffness, while being flexible, and feels super quality and durable. The Prizm Trail Torch lens my Matte Carbon Sutro Lite’s came with is good for trail riding under a tree canopy or on overcast days. I added a Prizm Sapphire lens for sunny days, which is a neutral gray tone with a blue mirror finish. Ventilation behind the lenses is very good. The “Lite” version of the Sutro has the extra rubber on the inside of the temples, so they grab both your head and your helmet better (when stored off your face). (The rubber lining on my temples are smooth not textured or grooved, as shown in the photos, so Oakley may have changed this part of the design.) The rubber nose piece holds phenomenally well.
