Excellent machineRower was not assembled by me. Runs smoothly with great full motion arm movement. Price was exceptional. Very happy with purchase. Already bragging about the rower. The monitor is basic which is fine for me. The rower is great.

Nice rowerI was looking for an inexpensive rowing machine and considered several models however most reviewers are not quite satisfied about quality and durability when it comes to home rowing machines. Only pro equipment seemed to have positive reviews but they are simply too big, heavy, and costly. Then I turned my attention to machines with less “standard” designs and found the stamina bodytrac glider models had impressive reviews while still in a budget. Conveniently they are small, lightweight, and foldable so I was convinced.Having the best comments around here I purchased the 1052.The item was very well packaged and had no real trouble to assemble. Despite there is an assembly video available I preferred to do it by looking at the manual only (included in the package). With the help of an additional person I could have saved some time.I’ve been using this rower for 2 months, 5-6 times a week for 15 mins sessions. Love that oversized cushioned seat. This machine is not for athletes but you can still make short good workouts. I say “short” because of that known issue about the shock getting hot so after some point the resistance plummets. However with 90 mins of weekly rowing I am happy: not a sportsman here!. Also, I’m still a bit far from reaching level 12 (the highest resistence level offered). The machine works perfectly except for the monitor which is a crap. Most reviewers mention that. In fact my monitor was crashing in funny ways often! (see the image) so I removed the batteries and put a phone or a watch to measure time for my workouts.I wonder why stamina does not use better monitors, however I still think this machine is worth every cent. It is well-built, feels durable, silent, and total space saver. If they could figure out how to avoid the shock getting hot that quickly and put a decent monitor on it, this would be the best seller of rowers all time :)Adivce: to prevent screeching noises appear, clean the siderail slots off dust. Keep the wheels of the seat clean as well.PS: The 1052 offers access to 3 free workout videos. I had to reach customer support for that. They were responsive and helped me get access to those videos.

OK for the money. Works well“Digital screen” came cracked upon arrival. Easy to assemble but kinda flimsy. Works well otherwise.

Great for the price. Enjoying my workouts.I purchased this when the gyms closed and it is a great little machine. I think it’s a fair price for the quality. After using it 3-4 times most weeks since April, the seat has cracked a little and some screws have repeatedly come off. Notably, it was missing essential hardware on arrival which I replaced.Assembly was fairly easy in spite of missing pieces.Runs quietly but sometimes starts catching and grinding requiring a brief pause. It is lightweight, compact, offers enough resistance and I’m just now getting to level 10-11 of 12. I started at 8.It has been really nice on my low back and left knee which was injured and is still sensitive.I enjoy the double handles because I can vary the way I row to target different muscle groups.Foot plates are fine but I wear a size 9-9.5 and some feet might be too small to be held in securely still in place but I think it would still be possible to use the machine. Feet might move around a lot.Might post photo later, but the fit is right for me, female 5’8” with shorter legs, longer torso and very long arms. There’s easily 5-6” of room up spare at fullest leg extension for me so depending on your proportions, you could be pretty tall and still use it although you’d lose some range with the arms (because the “oars” are only so long). Separate oars give the opportunity for cross body rowing as well. The hydraulic gets hot but that’s a given.Overall, good product for the price. If you need to stay under $200-300 this is a good choice. Just screw the screws tight!! This machine has helped me stay fit during all the shutdowns.

GreatTook me awhile to figure out how to fold it but its a great little machine I like it

Great intro to rowing machineSince I was not sure I would keep up with the exercise, I wanted a basic rowing machine that would not break the bank and would also fit into a small (1,500 sq ft) house. This one is pretty much perfect for those two criteria. Though a bit awkward it is light enough for me to stand it on end and move into the corner of the room. And it is pretty basic, it tracks time, strokes, and presumed calories burned. It has a holder to set a mobile phone or e-tablet to provide me with any additional amusement while exercising.I have had the unit for three weeks. As far as the work out goes, for me, most of the benefit is in the area of cardio and upper body work out, the legs are mostly going for a ride due to the disparity between the strength of leg and arm muscles, but the action does work some of the leg muscles that aren’t heavily worked in normal walking and bicycling. It does not compete with weight training for building muscle mass though. I have also noticed an improvement in flexibility. The only issue I have with it is that the seat tends to feel a tad unstable, but the instability is decreasing as my technique improves. I suspect a trade off between easy glide for the forward/back motion and stability on the sideways motion.

My husband and I both love itWe are both in our late 60’s and have been looking for low impact, effective workout equipment that wouldn’t take up a lot of room. This was reasonably priced and had good reviews so we thought we’d try it. It really fits the bill. It has a small footprint, especially when folded and upright. That’s a big plus for us. It stands in the living room beside the couch so we can use it anytime we want. It goes easily from upright to the rowing position with little effort. The action is smooth and is easily adjustable. Adjust it before you lower it into working position for easiest access. We get it out and watch tv while we row. It has helped my husband’s knees and back. I like it for the upper body workout. My arms feel so much stronger. It’s actually great for all over. It glides so smoothly, it’s a pleasure to use. You can vary your arm movements to work different muscles. You can row without doing the leg part if you want. Some people have commented about the foot straps. They aren’t the best, but I don’t even use them and don’t have a problem. My husband likes to use them. He moved the straps to the lower position and they work well for him now. The display is easy to read and has different options. My husband said he’d like to have a. “distance” option instead of a stroke counter, just for fun.We started slowly on the lowest setting, which I recommend for older folks or anyone with knee or back issues, or that hasn’t exercised in a while. We are both still enjoying this machine months in and are thinking about getting a kayak. As a bonus we have a giant treadmill that we can now sell and take back our dining room!

Inexpensive, but totally worth it !!The Rower is great!! But the monitor is not! It is totally cheap in construction, no on/off button, so it uses up the batteries quickly and just does not work! However, it is a great little stand for my cell phone! So, all is not lost.

Good Machine with One Major FlawI have had this glider rowing machine for a few days and it works well. It does have one major flaw that I have re-engineered. It has to do with the straps that hold your feet into the foot pedals. The Velcro strip that comes with the machine is actually two pieces of Velcro sewn together into one piece. It becomes a problem adjusting the foot straps because where it is sewn together it is not a smooth joint. They overlap so getting the piece through the narrow slot becomes a real pain. I fixed it. I bought a set of straps here on Amazon let me give you the link.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VETJKRU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1They are two inches wide and 18″ long and I used them to replace the straps already in place and since there are two more narrow straps slots near the bottom of the foot placement I added another strap so there are two straps per foot on each pedal. Now you might want to ask why did I do that. Simple. If you only use one strap on each pedal, when you row the ball of your foot stays in place and the heel has a tendency to rise up, giving me, at least the feeling of being off balance and making it feel like I will fall off the rowing machine. If feels wobbly. In order for me to get the full effect of the machine I need to have my feel firmly in place. Two straps do that, two straps anchor my feet to the pedals. The cost of the upgrade about $12. Having my feet feel solidly planted is all about leverage, I feel I have the leverage to row continuously without feeling like I am about to fall off or when coming forward on the seat to search for solid footing again. At least, that is my story and I am sticking to it!The Pictures show the rework of the pedals with two straps instead of one on it. Hope this helps you fitness folks!

Arrived with broken digital meter.Update: On Friday 8/21 I finally received my replacement meter and everything works perfect. My only complaint is that Stamina wasn’t very good at communicating about the status of the meter and wish they would have given me updates. The lack of communication gave me the feeling that they were ignoring the situation and I wasn’t going to get the replacement meter, but I’m pleased that they followed through with the replacement even though it took 3 1/2 months due to the covid pandemic.I enjoy using the row glider machine and like how the seat glides smoothly. Everything works perfectly and I like how you can adjustment it for more tension. I’m definitely going to get a lot of use out of this row glider.I received my Stamina row machine on May 7th and shortly after receiving it, I put it together and discovered the digital meter will not turn on, even with brand new batteries. So, I called Stamina right away about the issue and they told me they would send a new meter out to me the following week. A few weeks go by, it’s June 5th, I still haven’t received the replacement meter, so I call Stamina again. Apparently the part is on backorder. It’s now June 16th, almost 5 weeks since I called the first time and still no meter. I’m very frustrated that it’s taking this long to get a replacement part for my rowing machine. If I don’t get the part soon I’m going to ask for a refund.
