Super solid, practical ski tuning viseThese vises are awesome for hot waxing skis. They are sturdy, afix solidly to a work bench and the rubber pads hold the ski in place while you wax. If I had it to do over again, I’d order just the two end pieces as that’s all I need for hot waxing… the center vise isn’t needed for waxing. And, as others mentioned, it isn’t wide enough to hold fat powder skis… only the bindings so has limited use unless you really are doing hard core work on your skis. I wish I’d bought these tools years ago… they make waxing a snap.

Work as IntendedWork well. Worth the price. Really enjoy waxing my own skis and not dependent on busy ski shop for regular waxing.

Works wellThis is a good all around ski vise. It is wide enough to accommodate almost all under foot side cut sizes. The center vise has a good pad on each side that conforms nicely to binding plates. They are fairly light which is both a positive and a drawback. On the positive side they don’t add a lot of weight to your tool kit. On the drawback side the light weight makes me question their quality/durability. (Hence the four stars instead of five.) Not sure if they would withstand a good drop off the tuning bench, but I won’t be testing that on purpose for anyone. Bottom line is that this is a good pair of ski vise from Swix at a great price on Amazon!

Solid Quality Vise.I decided not to scrimp and I’m glad I didn’t. I started trying to tune with my existing vices, clamps and jigs but that just sucked. Ski movement wastes so much time while you are tuning, but with this set, they don’t budge. They should last a lifetime (or until my knees call it quits). With a family of four skiers, you can keep your skis tuned for a fraction of what it costs to have the shops do it. For four pairs, you pay for the set in a couple tuning sessions. You won’t believe how much better they perform. Check Youtube videos for instruction.

Great Ski ViseThis vise does the trick for holding down my larger 105 mm plus skis. They are rock solid on my work bench. Being made of cast iron they feel hefty and solid unlike my older plastic ones these are replacing. A much better set up being able to tilt on an angle for using a file on the ski edges. No complaints just very happy with how these vises have turned out. Highly recommended for anyeone who wants to tune their skis without any hassles. Well worth the money compared to cheaper versions.

Fantastic ski vicesFantastic ski vices, I went from tossing my skiis on a couple of saw horses to clamping them to a table with this. World of a difference and vastly superior.

I strongly recommend this system for beginners to advanced race familiesI regularly – as in every time we ski – tune and wax skis for my family who range in range of 5 – 40s. This vice system works perfectly. It holds/supports the skis properly regardless of size. I strongly recommend this system for beginners to advanced race families.

Exactly what I neededI’ve started waxing, sharpening and doing basic repairs on my skis and I needed something strong and sturdy that could hold the ski. I was using basic clamps I had laying around the house before and they worked ok, but these work great and hold the ski perfectly. It has sped up the process greatly.
