Goes far, but not by muchThis light is extremely bright, we’re only live snap about 100 yards. Still the best night I’ve ever seen. Got it for $209 on sale. I think it’s worth the price for now. If it lasts more than six months I will update my stars. It came with batteries and it has a USB-C charger. Time will tell. After six months I’ll give it a full five stars if it stays the same

great flashlight but poor customer support and poor quality controlI received the flashlight and tried to put the batteries in but the battery holder was defective. the two endplates didnt match. 2 spots were correct but 1 spot had 2 spring and 1 had no springs to hold the battery. for a light that cost so much you would hope to have better quality control. so after doing a search for a customer service phone number, i could only find one. The person said that i had to send an email to someone else to get support. So i sent the email with pictures and it took about 2 days to get a response. They said they would send a replacement battery holder. It has now been 10 days and have not receive the replacement holder nor have i gotten any further response from them……. so i have returned the light to amazon and got a replacement light. the replacement works great!!!!! it is a super long throw light. love the light.. but customer service is lacking.

Very brightThis thing is built like a tank. Batteries seem to last awhile. I’m usually just doing a quick check on something so it’s never really on for more than a minute or two at a time. The longer you leave it on the warmer it gets. Not hot…but something to be aware of. So far it’s not a concern for me. It’s more of a spot than a flood beam. I have another high power flashlight that is more flood. It gets out about 100-150 yards like daytime. This one gets out at least 400 yards. I live on a ranch, and that’s how far it is back to my tank. It lights up a hog or coyote just fine at 300-400 yards. Pretty amazing. I’ve had it a few months and love it.

No more Vampire problems using my TN42After an extensive review, here on Amazon, the web and Youtube, i am sold. I now own a tn42. The only down side is it does not come with 3.6v 3400 mh batteries. (You’ll need 4 18650 batteries (these are not AA batteries) plus a charger) bought Nitecore batteries from their website. Looking forward to seeing what goes “bump in the night”…i may even catch an ET in my yard or perhaps light up a distant planet. Lol. Excellent build quality. I like that it came with a shoulder strap…this is particularly useful when running away from Bigfoot in the woods. Im really looking forward to finally using the turbo 2000 lumen feature, i say that because i almost got bit by the vampire Klaus Van (sumthin-or’other) forgot his last name…this TN42, will definately burn his skin into dust. Thank you Thrunite!

Super bright, very tight focus, long throwIt’s a fairly large light with a large reflector. Beam is super tight, construction seems good. As with all high power lights the turbo mode doesn’t last long but even at high this light has great brightness and isn’t for a casual flashlight user. One of the two I ordered came with a manufacturing defect in the battery holder and couldn’t hold a battery in one slot. Used amazon to contact the seller and they responded via email the same day and sent a replacement battery holder that arrived in 3 days, 2 of which were the weekend, so that’s nice.

Bright …But a few complaintsFirst off this thing has a great throw, just what I was looking for to see out across our pasture at night. But at the price point it does not come with any batteries so I had to add another $75 for 4 Olight batteries which pushes the cost up considerably. Tried some different batteries from amazon but they didn’t last long at all so had to spend the extra $ for the Olight brand. They work great but the $160 light is actually $235 to get it working. My other complaint is that It can be hard to get it into the high output mode at times? It requires a double tap of the switch but sometimes it just doesn’t work. I can try it 10 times before it actually goes into high mode which is frustrating and could be dangerous using this for trying to identify a threat.

Wonderful light for the price!Best flashlight we have ever purchased. We have had a cougar and coyotes in the field and around chicken pen this light does a fantastic job lighting the property up. Like everything about this very powerful flashlight. Just waiting for amazon to get more in stock planning to buy another.

Bulky but amazing ThrowerIt’s a great light but it’s super bulky. If you just want distance go for acebeam w30. But if you’re set on LED this is the best for the price
