Perfect work-from-home toolI have been working from home since 2020 now and really needed to figure out a way to keep myself active during the work day, especially as the colder months roll around. I’ve been consistently using the Umay treadmill for two weeks and I could not be happier about it. I dragged my feet on making the purchase since I didn’t know which brand to buy, etc. but I’ve been so happy with this purchase. The walk pad is the perfect size and stores easily for when I want to just stand or make space in the room. It’s not too loud and is easy to use. I use this for times where I just have to listen to a call/presentation or am reading something. Honestly it helps keep me focused. I would definitely recommend!

Overall a good choice, but beware that the distance/speed markers are not accuratePROS: Overall, this is a good product, and works as advertised. I would recommend it, particularly as a good value with a reasonable price point. It is short and only goes fast enough for a brisk walk, so you have to be careful about the length of your strides, but that is fine for an under-desk treadmill. Also, it does not do elevation, but this is clear and expected from the description and the price point, so no issues with that. I could lift it by myself if needed (to move the package, for example) and I’m not the strongest person around. It is also pretty simple to tip up and has wheels for easy storage against a wall or behind a door. It is out of the box ready and does not require any assembly.CONS: These are minor quibbles, but there are a few of them. There is no “pause” feature, so you either have to step on/off or restart from zero (which makes you lose all your stats such as how far/long you’ve gone). Also, it beeps really loud any time you push a button on the remote, which is slightly irritating, especially for co-workers (though the treadmill itself is fairly quiet for a treadmill). Lastly, the distance travelled and speed measures are somewhat baffling–they do not correspond to either miles or kilometers as far as I can tell (I use my watch to gauge this, which has proven accurate on a variety of stationary treadmills in the past). For example, the “3.0” speed setting seems to me distinctly slower than 3 miles/hour, but also clearly faster than 3 km/hour. So if knowing exactly how far you are going is really important to you, you might want to get a fancier option than this.

Worked great for 3 months then broke, no response from customer serviceThis was great at first – easy to set up, took a little while to balance the tension but was fine once that was done. However, after about 3 months it started making a loud rumbling noise and shaking when walking on it. I ensured the treadmill was lubricated as per the instructions, but the nose sill persists which tells me it’s likely the motor itself having an issue. E-mailed customer service via Amazon and was given a separate e-mail address to send a video and additional information, however after that there has been no response for weeks. Very disappointed to only have gotten a few months of use out of this. I’d suggest looking for other brands.

Sweet for walking/speed walkingIt goes to a max of 6 and that’s a light jog or for some a fast walk. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to run faster than a light jog but it’s great for walking and speed walking. Be sure to clean underneath after a awhile if you don’t move it gets dirty under.
